Tockwith with Wilstrop Parish Council has been successful in getting Neighbourhood Area Designation

What this means is the Parish Council with the support of the community can start its Neighbourhood Plan to enable the residents of the parish to develop a planning document which will have some influence in the way are community is developed

The notice of approval is below

Decision title : Neighbourhood Area Designation for Tockwith with Wilstrop Parish Council

Decision : The Executive Member for Open to Business approved the designation of the Tockwith with Wilstrop as a neighbourhood area under Part 2(7) of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), to enable the next stages of the development of a neighbourhood plan to commence.

Reasons for the decision : As the neighbourhood area application was for the whole of a single parish there was no requirement for public consultation. There are no reasons that indicate that the area should not be designated. Therefore, the recommendation is the neighbourhood area is designated.
