Tockwith with Wilstrop Parish Council own and manage a number of allotments behind the Church of the Epiphany, in Tockwith, which had originally been owned by Harrogate Borough Council. The Parish Council also hold additional plots adjacent to Sandhole Wood and alongside the bridlepath that goes to Bilton-in-Ainsty from Marston Road out of the Village.
The Parish Allotments are available for rent to all people in the local area. Historically the allotments were difficult for the Council to rent and plots were therefore combined and assigned to a few tenants. However, over the last 10 years the plots have become more and more appealing to local residents which has resulted in very long waiting lists. The Parish Council now have a policy that when a plot comes up for rent it will be split back into the original smaller plots, therefore giving more residents the chance of tending their own plots.
If you are interested in putting your name on the waiting list for would like any further information about the allotments please contact the Clerk to the Parish Council with your contact details and preference, if any, for either Church Row or Bridlepath allotments and your name will be added to the existing waiting list.
