LINDEN HOMES - UPDATE, NOVEMBER 2015
Planning Application for a Residential Development at Southfield Lane, Tockwith
It would appear that Harrogate Borough Council have asked the Developer (Linden Homes) to increase the number of dwellings on the site from 127 to 150 to provide for a larger number/proportion of smaller dwellings resulting in an increase of dwellings per hectare from 32 to 39 dwellings/hectare.
This increase in dwellings is something the Parish Council have not previously been consulted on by either the Developer or Harrogate Parish Council. The Parish Council response will be considered at the next meeting of the Parish Council on Wednesday 18 November.
The 150 dwellings will consist of:
13% x 1 bed (Previously 8%)
27% x 2 bed (previously 5%)
50% x 3 bed (previously 34%)
8% x 4 bed (previously 47%)
2% x 5 bed (previously 5%)
From the above, the Affordable housing provision will be 60 units (previously 50) in a mix of:
20% x 1 bed (previously 12%)
62% x 2 bed (no change to previous)
18% x 3 bed (previously 26%)
